Acorn Frenzy

The squirrels have competition. There are adorable little acorns falling from above and I can't resist them. Such cute much wow. So I collected a bunch and made some fall decor. Pictures are below for your acorn viewing pleasure 😄

You will need:
-glass jars or bottles
-fake flowers
-acorns
-acrylic paint
-twine/ribbon/string

Step 1: Collect acorns

They were just there for the taking!!!

Step 2: Wash acorns. Some people also bake them for a couple hours on low heat to kill any bugs. Ain't nobody got time fo that though

Step 3: Lay them out on a napkin/paper towel to dry for at least 1 hour

Step 4: If your jar/bottle has a sticker on it like my Starbucks bottles do, submerge in hot water with a spoon full of dishwasher detergent.

Step 5: Let it soak for about 10 minutes, then remove stickers and use a rough sponge to get the adhesive off.

Step 6: Paint the rims of the bottles. I put about 3 coats, letting each coat dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 7: Add the acorns and add fake flowers. Trim fake flowers to your liking. Tie a bow with some ribbon or wrap some twine around the rim

Et voila!!!! Such a fall-y and festive look 😊
