Ramadan Countdown Craft

Ramadan Mubarak! This is certainly going to be a unique time to celebrate the month of Ramadan amidst the COVID19 pandemic. Here is a fun Ramadan countdown craft with step by step pictures.

Each pillow box contains candy and a good deed for the day. Hopefully the kiddo will enjoy opening a box each of the 30 days of the month and it will make the month feel special!

The numbers and good deeds document links are below as well.

Materials needed:

  • 8 sheets card-stock (8.5 x 11 in)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Printed numbers and deeds (Numbers Link and Good Deeds Link)
  • Round object (CD, can etc.)
Fold card stock sheet hamburger
Cut in half
Fold each half in half again
Cut in half. You should have 4 quarter sheets.
Fold about half an inch in on one side of a quarter sheet
Then fold the other edge up to the folded inside edge
Add glue to the outside of the folded edge
Glue the folded edge to the inside of the card-stock
And flatten down firmly
Put round object to edge and mark outline on both sides
Then cut both sides
Then use sharp end of something like this pencil to
push down really hard around edge of round object
Like so. It should be dented in deeply for pocket to work. Repeat on both sides.
Fold all pockets outwardly
Then fold them inwardly
Like so
Make 30 boxes
Cut the numbers
Then cut the good deeds
Glue the numbers on
Fill each box with candy and the good deed paper
Like so.
All done! Have fun and enjoy Ramadan!
